lory to Jesus Christ! Glory to Him forever! I hope this newsletter finds you well. I thank God for your support of this ministry. ACM is helping our Orthodox college students grow in their faith at this critical time of formation in their young adult lives. The ministry is also actively bringing others to know Christ and His holy Church.
In the last newsletter I reported to you the good news that one of this year’s converts, Thomas Browning, was baptized and chrismated Sunday of the Blind Man. Then, on Pentecost Sunday, Lauren Cooper was chrimated with the name ‘Adele’, an eighth-century German Saint of the Orthodox Church.
Thomas was from a Church of Christ background. Lauren came to Orthodoxy through the Baptists. Both have grown so much in the past year in their knowledge and love of Christ—first as inquirers, then as catechumens, and now as newly illumed Orthodox Christians. In Orthodoxy they have found the sacramental life in the Holy Trinity.
Now Plebe Summer is upon us, bringing the new incoming class of ‘freshmen’ midshipmen who have just arrived at the U.S. Naval Academy. A new summer of ministry begins this week. We never know ahead of time how many Orthodox there will be or how many may seek out Christ and His holy Church, as two of our convert OCF (Orthodox Christian Fellowship) student presidents have.
Annapolis College Ministry (ACM) is here to help Orthodox students at both the U.S.N.A and St. John’s College to grow in the Faith of Christ’s Church and apply it to their daily lives. ACM is also an outreach ministry:
